North and Northwest Austin

NW Austin is a more suburban area that still offers easy access to the city, Northwest Hills in West Austin is a more affordable, family-oriented area with highly rated schools. Outdoor lovers will enjoy the easy access to Bull Creek District Park and Bull Creek Greenbelt. Northwest Hills provides a convenient location for commuting, with Mopac, 360, Hwy 183, downtown, and UT all with easy reach.

Located in the Northwest area of Travis County. The North/Northwest area of Austin has a variety of shopping, dining and nightlife options, making it a vibrant and upscale area that offers all that downtown Austin has and more. In fact, so much that it is being called the "Second Downtown".

It is one of the city’s fastest growing areas, with new home neighborhoods and retail centers anchored primarily by big box brands. If you work along the Loop 360 corridor, this part of town can offer suburban living with a reasonable commute and housing that is generally more affordable than on the west side.

This part of the city consists of Austin neighborhoods with active neighborhood associations serving close-knit, multi-generational communities. People know their neighbors here and residents favor the central location and somewhat larger homes than can typically be found a little closer to downtown. You’ll encounter increasingly newer communities the further you head northwest along Highway 183.

It is close to the existing Apple Campus and the newest Apple campus that is which is expected to open in 2022.

The area includes The Domain and Domain Northside, a walk-able outdoor district containing retail stores and local restaurants, and the Arboretum, which offers family-friendly events, multicultural restaurants, hike and bike trails and high-end shopping.

Homes tend to have more square footage, larger closets, and more spacious bathrooms than are typical in the older homes in established neighborhoods closer to downtown.
